Legal Aid Society hosting fair housing talk

The 20th Annual Fair Housing Laws & Litigation Conference is coming back to San Diego and will feature a symposium for professionals in the real estate sector about fair housing laws. Whether you sell houses or own apartment buildings, this free event will help you brush up on your knowledge of these laws.

Hosted by the Legal Aid Society of San Diego Inc., the talk will go over a variety of topics, such as resolving requests from persons with disabilities for reasonable accommodations and modifications, medical marijuana, responding to applicants who are undocumented and what role the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have in enforcing fair housing laws.

Not only will the conference feature experts from both the DFEH and HUD, but members from the Fair Housing Council of San Diego, Orange County and San Fernando Valley will also be in attendance. Don’t miss this chance to hear information from people who live it every day.
The conference will be held at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, on Wednesday, Feb. 13. There will be two classes: one course from 9 a.m. to noon in English and the second from 1-4 p.m. in Spanish.

You can register for this event online at www.fhcsd.com or register at the Town and Country on the day of the conference. The address is 500 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, CA 92108.
