Chris has been a constant innovator to the specialized systems and processes that have made Fjellestad, Barrett and Short a recognized leader within our chosen industry niche. His leadership has been a consistent driving force to the FBS team.

He maintains a practical, common-sense approach to daily property management situations and tenant-landlord issues. Resolution and compromise are usually achieved with his communication style. His fair-mindedness and optimism is appreciated by deadlocked opposing parties.

Well respected within the local industry, Chris' high energy and willingness to share his experience has made him a favorite guest speaker and dedicated volunteer for the San Diego County Apartment Association. He led the committee to form the Association's current Property Managers Council and in 1996, he served as chair of the Rental Housing Education Conference and Expo.

His degree in marketing/management, with an emphasis on quality control and customer service, is combined with more than 20 years experience in the San Diego market. Chris joined FBS in 1989.
